- Isoflurane USP Inhalation liquid
Isoflurane USP inhalation is used as an anaesthetic in following conditions:
- Used for induction and maintenance of general anaesthesia
- Given along with air or pure oxygen or nitrous oxide
- Maintenance agent after induction of general anaesthesia with IV thiopental or propofol
Things to consider:
Only those with training in the administration of general anaesthesia should administer Isoflurane. There must be immediate access to resources for maintaining a patent airway, artificial breathing, oxygen enrichment, and circulatory resuscitation. It is best to only utilize vaporizers that produce consistent concentrations of Isoflurane because the level of anaesthesia can change quickly.
